The following chart shows the amount of recording time for various Panasonic tapes, using different recording formats. See the important notes below the chart.

Notes:
1. All tapes are made with the same metal particle tape formulation and are the same thickness.

2. VariCam AJ-HDC27H uses large cassettes only.

3. DVCPROHD-EX Camcorders, AJ-HDX400, AJ-HDX900 use medium cassettes only.

4. AJ-HD1200A and AJ-HD1400 VTRs use medium or large cassettes.

5. DVCPROHD-EX uses 9-Micron record heads which are 1/2 the recording track width of 18-Micron heads. This provides twice the recording time on the same amount of tape.

6. AJ-HP126EX Extra Large cassettes can only be used in the AJ-SD965 and AJ-HD1700 VTRs.
